Gobi at the 4-Nations, His Most Successful Tournament to Date!

After my World Championships adventure in Seoul, I took part in the Irish Leg of the 4 Nations Disabled Badminton Championships. After winning last year’s Singles and Men’s Doubles title in Belfast, I had to compete for both those and the Mixed Doubles title in this year’s competition which was held in Dublin’s ALSAA Sports Complex.

I had my most successful tournament to date as I came away from Dublin having completed a Badminton Hat-Trick. I retained the Men’s Singles title, regained the Men’s Doubles Title, and won the Mixed Doubles title for the first time. The photo above was taken with the Badminton Ireland President, Craig Casey.  For the rest of his report, click here. Update, 4th January 2010: Gobi gets Stevenage Mayor's Award for Sporting Excellence - click here for photo

URGENT NOTE from County Match Secretary, Paul Widdicombe - Can You Help?

Dear Player

I gave notice in April last year that I would cease to act as Match Secretary for the County
from the end of this season.
To date no one has come forward.

Please give this matter serious consideration as no match secretary means no matches.
